Well, it is indeed that time of year again. I leave for school in a staggeringly short 8 days. Actually, I am extremely excited about my return to school in most regards, sadly, what I’m looking forward to the least is moving all of my stuff in to my room. I also don’t want to actually have to decide what I’m going to do next year. Do I crawl up to my neck in debt and go to grad school where after I don’t really want to 100% use what I went to school for in the first place? Or do I finally jump into the real world and get a career? I’m leaning more towards joining the Air Force than anything else right now. My newest dream is to one day be referred to as The Reverend Doctor General Samantha (fill in the blank with the last name of the man I marry). Of course, as my Pastor would tell you, I have more dreams than one lifetime on this earth can hold. While those things would be fun, I of course would choose the career of rock star if I found the right people to join together in a band, but only time will tell what doors God is going to open me, and what doors I actually go through.

splashin’ in my mud puddle
As of Thursday I have been focusing on not splashing around in my mud puddle, or in other terms, not wallowing in my despair. It is habitually for me to do that until someone pulls me out, but I have to learn to walk out of the mud puddle on my own. Change, growth, whatever you want to call it, that’s what I need.

Tru died....RIP
A while back we had crazy heavy rain in Springfield and I forgot to close my window and as a result...Tru drowned. It was sad, she has been good to me most of the time, plus she had a really cool name, but every computer must be retired sometime. In this case she was retired because she won't turn on and I didn't have the time or money to fix her because I had to write 4 essays the weekend after the Tuesday she died. Luckily, Best Buy had a good deal on a Dell Studio 17, so I know am the proud owner of Rain....a Red Studio 17 with Vista, an Intel Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 320GB HD....it is pretty exciting.

Ice Storm on its way
Again Missouri anticipates an ice storm...go figure. People are already biting it trying to walk on the sidewalks here on the Evangel Campus. I meanwhile, welcome the ice because it may mean a break from class, though I would rather have a break from my MWF schedule than my TR schedule. I insist everyone in the area drive and walk safely as I will try to do. For now, I am off to eat an early dinner because I skipped lunch and am quite hungry, then I have to work before finishing (and starting) a five-page paper. It will be quite the night ahead of me, but at least if classes are cancelled I will be able to sleep in tomorrow morning. :D
